Week 26

Fried Eggs

Notes: Ready to go to Maryland for a long time, so once again it was time to get rid of the extra eggs I had in my refrigerator. I’ve also taken it upon myself to try different variations of eggs to see which ones I like and which ones I do not.

Lessons:
1. The fact that I do not have to mix the eggs makes this an incredibly easy recipe.
2. I don’t have any covers that were explicitly made for my skillet, but I was able to adjust by using the lid from one of my large pots.
3. The recipe has you drop all 4 eggs in the skillet at once and let them cook for 5 minutes without touching anything. I can definitely manage that.
4. The note at the beginning of the recipe says that you can slide the eggs onto a plate, but that ended up being more difficult than I had originally realized. I should have just eaten them right out of the skillet.
5. Preheating the skillet before applying the butter was a brilliant move, and I’m glad that the instructions were to do so.

Final Analysis: According to the recipe, it appears that I made everything correctly, but I suppose I just don’t like fried eggs. They’re just kind of runny, which I can gather is because the yolks remain intact. At any rate, it is good to know that I do not like eggs fried.
