Week 39

Monkey Brains

Notes: Another delicious dessert / breakfast dish that I haven’t had in a long time.

Lessons:
1. Pretty much a “shake and bake” recipe.
2. I may actually need to get a bundt pan, as the 9X13 pan is just a bit too small. Of course, I could just use one less can of biscuits, but that’s against the spirit of the recipe.
3. Ziploc bags are great when they stay closed. When you open the bag after the first shake, some of the sugar gets in the seal and makes it impossible to seal after that.
4. May need to bake it a little longer, since it was a little more gooey than it should have been.
5. I wish there was a more efficient way to coat all of the biscuit pieces at once, but alas you can only fit so much in a gallon bag.

New Equipment: Bundt pan. One of those pans that has a semi-specific use, but which seems to be essential for a recipe like this.

Final Analysis: Warm, soft, deliciously sugary and cinnamon-y.
